  • How do we work?
    In My Closet is a platform that makes it possible for our customers to buy as well as sell their pre-loved luxury pieces with us.
  • Are all the items sold on the website Authentic?
    In My Closet pledges by 100% authenticity. Our team of experts evaluate each item based on the combination of hallmarks, hardware, stitching, symmetry, material, craftsmanship, stamping, codes, hologram stickers, and packaging. With us, you can always be confident that you are purchasing a genuine luxury item. Know more about our authenticity policy here.
  • Do items come with original packaging and paperwork?
    Many of our items come with original tags, boxes, dust bags and authenticity cards. When available, the original packaging will be mentioned in the item description.
  • How to find the condition of the items? Are all the items on IMC used?
    We sell items in varying conditions namely New, Like New, Gently Used, Well Used. You can check the condition of the item in the individual item page.
  • What Can I Consign?
    We accept current women’s clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories less than two years old. Items must be in like-new condition, clean, free of stains and damage and in current season. Our best-sellers (and what we look for) include high end handbags, shoes and jewelry by Chanel, Céline, Hermés, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Gucci, Fendi, YSL, and Prada, as well as all items by Tory Burch, Lilly Pulitzer, J. Crew, Milly, DVF, Marc Jacobs, Shoshanna, Joie, AG, Kate Spade and other brands sold at high end boutiques and stores like Saks or Neiman Marcus. To keep our clients happy, we are very selective in what we take at your appointment.
  • What Season Are You Taking?
    Spring and summer items are consigned February through August. Fall and winter items are consigned September through January.
  • How do you price?
    We use data from millions of items sold to set prices according to designer, item type, age, condition and current market demand. Our goal is to sell your items at the highest possible price within 30 days.
  • How much will I earn for my IN MY CLOSET consignment items?
    When determining the price of an item, we take many factors into consideration: the estimated retail price, seasonality, the age of the item, quality, style, an...
  • How much do I earn?
    You earn up to 70% of the selling price for your items.
  • What if an item is out of stock?
    We do our best to update our inventory. In the unlikely event an item is no longer in stock upon purchase, full refund will be granted in the original method of payment.
  • Can you make returns/exchanges?
    Due to the nature of the items we sell, we are unable to offer returns or exchanges. Accurate measurements/sizing/descriptions of items are provided to properly inform shoppers about our items. We are unable to allow returns/exchanges based upon sizing/color etc.
  • Why Sell with In My Closet
    Sell your luxury fashion items with us to refresh your closet and make extra cash for your next piece! In My Closet works on a consignment method which means that you get paid after your item sells. Right from publishing items for sale to making sure your product gets the right attention, we do all the work. An easy online form allows you to submit your items.
  • What is IMC’s shipping policy?
    Purchases are dispatched within 2 business days after receipt of payment. All purchases are shipped via USPS with tracking and signature confirmation. Shipping fees include postage, handling and packing fees. Items purchased from alternate locations will be shipped separately.
  • What forms of payment does IMC accept?
    We accept the following forms of payment: Visa American Express MasterCard Discover PayPal
  • Can I change my payment method?
    We do not entertain the change of payment method under any circumstances.
  • Does IMC ship internationally?
    We only ship within the United States. We are sorry, but we do not accept international orders at this time.
